Modern Noir?

Today I did nothing. NOTHING!

But hey, at least I looked good.

I wrote up a 30 page document for the pre-production of my 1 minute animation, and ate pesto on bread rolls.

In other news, my housemate hired out L.A. NOIRE for a couple of days and I was watching him play/guiding him through the interrogations since I'm good at that (and spotting clues!) and I was thinking how a modern noir look would just kill right now. For me personally.

So I donned my black and stuck on some red lipstick just for you...

Even though it's not really noir at all, I still felt quite elegant today. It was probably the slightly messy up-do and the dangly earrings (granted they were axes but...)

Dress from a Suitcase Rummage Market
Skin Colour Stockings (too dark) from Target
Black Oxford Shoes from Big W
Axe Earrings from Suitcase Rummage Market
Red Ribbon worn as belt from Lincraft

Anyway, much love and eat more pesto!

And here's what you missed on the last episode...

Just a bunch of old outfits that I only got around to doing today. I keep little sketches in my Journal and know my wardrobe well enough to guess what's what.

But yeah, it's time to rent a girly movie, drink hot chocolate and eat delicious snacks. Yup, it's catch-up time!

June 16 2011. Thursday.

In Concept Art today we had a life drawing class. However instead of doing gesture drawing we were told to do analytical drawing. It's hard.
$1 day at 7-11, Bailey and I went after hanging around at hers and playing American McGee's latest Alice.

June 17 2011. Friday.

Spilled water all over myself on the train. Got to my Acting lecture late, was forced to go first in the theatre sports. Went twice because it was so fun.
Drank Vodka Blood Orange at Bailey's house while being irresponsible on the internet.
Also this photo came about in class....

.... in which I kind of look like a drug addict. It's okay Mum and Dad, those are pixie sticks.

June 18 2011. Saturday.

My friend Siobhan's 20th birthday. Fittingly we went to the Irish Pub that looks like the Ministry of Magic.
Trish and I were tired so we tried dancing to wake up, while on the dance floor a ludicrously tall man kept poking me on the shoulder to some Power/Love Ballad.
At the Bar a man named Daniel introduced himself and his friend and proceeded to use Dr Who lines to pick me up. My favourite is as follows:
"Is that the TARDIS? Can I come inside? I heard it's warm in there!"
Which resulted in Trish literally collapsing from laughter.

Oh. and before I forget...
July 6 2011. Tuesday.

Had a picnic in the park with Kesselle, ate nachos and wedges and cupcakes and drank vanilla coke and wrote haiku's and sang songs and basked in the sunshine (for the whole 2 minutes it was there)
And I stayed back at Uni for hours and drew a whole bunch of outfit shots and made an album on my facebook page.

And made this poster:
Our tiny university just opened up a small room to be used as a kitchenette, so far it has a fridge and a sink! But in time it'll get better.
